You can see in these panels how Frank Robbins uses large, soupy black inks to fill in his backgrounds, and still manages to provide a complete sense of physical information in creating a world for the Batman / Bruce Wayne character to operate in. Robbins doesmore than hint at a 'casino' setting, he draws in some of the people and equipment that is part of the scenerio.
